Wooohoo!

I've just been given the part of "City Wife" in Progress Theatre's production of "The Tamer Tamed" by John Fletcher - his answer to Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew", which was just put on to great acclaim in the Abbey Ruins! Yay! It's on in November, so there's plenty of time to book seats if you fancy a rollicking night out and you're in the Reading area... www.progresstheatre.co.uk

The Final Curtain

Well, that's it, now. We've said our final lines, shed our tears (I still am, actually) and made our final bows. The play is over. I'm really sad, and I'm really gonna miss all the people involved, it's been wonderful; very intense. I almost started crying even earlier than I normally do, tonight. I DID cry at the end. It was all too, too much, darlings. Tomorrow we strike the set and repaint walls, etc. Some are lucky; they're going straight on to another play. I am not; I wonder what I'll do now? There are some interesting plays on, next season, so of course I'll try my luck. I may even get my finger out and write something....

Shameless Plug

Today I find myself in the local paper. No, I haven't committed some heinous crime; it's publicity for a play. There's a ruddy big quote and a big picture of me looking miserable; I can't help it; it's a sad play, and when in repose my face does take on a melancholic air. www.progresstheatre.co.uk See, told you I could act! Come and see it if you're in the area.
